Steam it up!

I finally finished the shirt for my steampunk outfit! This is probably the best job I have done when it comes to sewing. There is only one real big mistake, and you cant see it.

The end of the sleeve.

I learned to use the sewing machine to make button holes! It's very handy.

I am going to a convention this next weekend and will get pictures of me in the whole get up then. I will post it soon!

I also did some leather work and spiffed up the bands on my steampunk goggles. It used to be black and blue elastic, but now it looks way better. Took pics of it on my boyfriends pop up top hat. I usually just wear these on my head.

Also, cool news! My blog has now had over 11,ooo views! Most of them are views of my Beartato and Reginald patterns from Ravelry and Crochet Patterns Central. It makes me feel cool!

Needle Holder

Over the years I have accumulated quite a set of knitting needles. I have just been keeping them in a basket with other miscellaneous knitting things, but in a very unorganized just-throw-them-in-there fashion. This made it rather difficult to determine what needles I had and to find specific set in the big pile of needles.
In order to solve this problem, I devised a plan.
This plan consisted of making a handy holder for all dem needles. I bought the fabric, mathed out a design, and started sewing.
Here is the result:

Front and Back:

The Inside:

I am pretty satisfied with the results. There are some places where I did things a little wonky, but it works and is good enough for me!

Finished Ornaments

Well, after a few days of crafting, I have finished all of my ornaments for my boyfriends family. Here is the finished Krampus:

and back:

And here are the three kittens:

And some snowflakes. The larger one can double as a coaster!

Also, making bread is like crafting but with flour right? So, I proudly present my first ever bread experiment!! It's cinnamon bread, also for the BF's family.

I have yet to see one cracked open! I hope they are all cooked in the middle...otherwise that would be bad news bears.

Anyways, enough of the crafting for others. I have been working on something for myself recently. I am working on a super cute cabled sweater! I have chosen to do it in a gray and I am almost done with the back piece. Hopefully I will have it done in a week or two!

Anyways, this is probably the last post before the 25th, so Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and all that jazz!

Christmas Stuff

Now, you may think that because I haven't posted anything on my blog lately that I haven't been crafting. But OH HO HO dear readers, I have actually been quite busy! I have made quite a few hats:

And I am currently in the process of making ornaments for my boyfriends family. The on pictured below is an in-process Krampus. I will also be making three kitten ornaments that represent the three cats in The Shadows by Jacqueline West (my BF's sister).

More pics to come when there are projects to post!
