Beret

So, finished the beret quite a while ago but haven't gotten around to posting it until now. (Pretty Puffs Slouchy Hat)
Here it is!

It was a bit tight at first, but it has loosened up quite nicely! I'm probably going to make my sister and my mom this hat but in different colors. They both though it was cute and it would be a quick and easy Christmas present.

Haven't worked on Beartato too much lately. I have a busy week (two tests and a project Friday! eep!) But here is the current progress. Just a few more rows and I am going to add the details to his face/body before closing up the body. I also still need to figure out how I am going to make his stick arms.

New Projects

Guess what?!?
I've started Beartato!! Yay! I have his body about half done. I need to add a few more rows and then I need to work on the details (ears, eyes, teeth, etc.) Hopefully there will be a pattern for him up before New Years!
I also super spontaneously started work on a beret. It just looked so cute that I had to make it. I also haven't made a hat in quite a while. Anyways, that's about half way done and I hope to finish today or tomorrow. I will post pictures sometime soon!

New Mittens!

So, these are the mittens I finished! And just in time too! It snowed this weekend! I'm personally not a big fan of winter, but I guess I get to make lots of cute hats and mittens for this season!

I got this pattern from here. I made a slight modification and ended up adding a little opening on the right thumb so that I am able to use my iPod without having to take the mitten off.

I really like the pattern, it looks really cool. I also accidentally ended up making it in the same colors as a hat I made previously. So I can wear them together and be super stylin!

Catan Afghan

I made this afghan (my first afghan) for my boyfriend for his birthday last April. It is a modified version of this pattern, I just ended up adding a few more rows onto each hexagon. It turned out really well! I used Lion Brand Homespun yarn, which I like quite a lot. It has a nice feel and a nice weight.

This isn't a very good picture but it's currently the only one I have (it was taken about 20 min after completion) . It turned out to be the perfect lap blanket size. I had a lot of fun making this, though I was quite tired of making hexagons toward the end. But the finished product was worth and and so was my boyfriends reaction. (It took him a bit to figure out it was a Catan board but when he did his face was priceless!)

More recent news: I have been very busy with school work and so only just finished a pair of mittens that I had started quite a few weeks ago. They turned out quite well and I will hopefully be posting a picture of them soon!
